Quizizz is now Wayground: What’s Changing and What’s Not

After ten years of building alongside teachers, Quizizz has a new name: Wayground.

This article explains what’s changing, what’s staying the same, and what it means for your classroom.

Why the name change?

We started by helping teachers create interactive quizzes that students could do together. Over time, the platform grew into something more: a space where teachers could plan, assign, and customize a variety of instructional resources. We've evolved into a comprehensive platform, and it was time for our name to grow with us. The name Wayground reflects that growth.

Our new name reflects our mission to help every student find their way within the common ground of the classroom.

What’s changing?

• The name has changed from Quizizz to Wayground.
• The website has moved from quizizz.com to wayground.com. Automatic redirection is in place, so existing links will continue to work.
• The visual design is being updated with a new logo, colors, and branding.

Everything else stays the same!

What’s staying the same?

• Your account works just like before. No action is needed.
• Your classes and resources are still available with no changes.
• Data privacy and legal agreements remain in place. Quizizz Inc. is still the legal entity.
• Join links and integrations, such as joinmyquiz.com and LMS tools, continue to work.

FAQs

1. What will happen to my account?
   Nothing changes. You can continue logging in the same way with access to all your existing resources and classes.
2. Do I need to update anything on my school network?
   Please share this article with your IT team so they can update firewalls and filters if needed.
3. What about data privacy and existing contracts?
   Our ownership, legal structure, and data privacy practices remain the same (we’re also proud to have recently received The Common Sense Media Privacy Seal).
   Quizizz Inc. remains the legal parent entity, and any contracts signed with Quizizz Inc. remain valid. We’ve linked a letter clarifying this status, along with the product name change, here.
4. Is the product or user interface changing?
   No. The core product experience remains the same. Any new features will be added gradually and based on feedback from teachers.
5. How do students join a session?
   Students can now go to wayground.com/join. All previous links, like joinmyquiz.com, will continue to work.
6. What is Wayground, and how should I describe it?
   Wayground is the world’s most versatile supplemental learning platform. It’s an AI-supported hub that brings together flexible resources for instruction, practice, and assessment in a fun, easy-to-use platform that boosts achievement and confidence.
