Integrate Wayground with Toddle via LTI as an Administrator

For Administrators

With the Wayground x Toddle LTI integration, students can participate in engaging Wayground sessions directly within Toddle without having to switch platforms. Teachers can easily assign resources and track progress without leaving the Toddle platform.

This article will show you how you can set up this integration as an Administrator. Two major steps need to be completed during the setup:

• Finding the 'Issuer URL' from Toddle
• Getting the integration links from Wayground
• Completing the integration on Toddle

Note: This feature is available for users with Wayground Schools & Districts Plans.

Step 1: Finding the 'Issuer URL' from Toddle

1. Log in to your Toddle Admin account
2. Go to your Admin Portal, followed by the 'School Setup' section
3. Click on 'LTI Apps' and then click on 'Toddle Credentials'
4. Copy the 'Issuer URL' listed here
5. Keep this section open; you will need the copied URL in Step 2
   
   

Step 2: Getting the integration links from Wayground

1. Log in to Wayground
2. Click on the 'Admin Controls' button located in the top left of your screen, then select 'LMS Integrations'
3. Click on ‘Toddle’
4. Paste the Issuer URL (from Step 1) into the ‘Enter your Toddle URL’ field
5. Click on 'Generate integration'. This will generate the following links and details:
   
   1. Initiate Login URL
   2. Redirection URL(s) 
   3. Public Keyset
   4. Custom parameters
6. Keep these credentials and links handy to complete the integration on Toddle 

Step 3: Completing the integration on Toddle

1. Return to your Toddle Admin portal
2. Click on 'School setup'
3. On the left menu, scroll down to find the 'Integrations' section and click on 'LTI apps'
   
   
   
   
4. Click on the '+ Add integration' or '+ Create integration' button
5. Now, enter or select information in the required fields as shown below:
   
   1. Service: Select 'Wayground' from the drop-down menu
   2. Version: Select '1.3' from the given options
   3. Initiate Login URL: Copy-paste the URL generated on Wayground (see step 2)
   4. Launch/Redirect URL: Copy-paste the Redirection URL generated on Wayground (see step 2)
   5. Keyset URL: Copy-paste the Public Keyset generated on Wayground (see step 2)
      
      
      
      
   6. LTI Integration ID: Copy-paste the value from the Custom parameters field on Wayground, but delete the lti_integration_id= part before pasting
   7. Program: Select your program
   8. Check the box for the 'Enable LTI tool for teachers' option 
6. Once you've entered/selected the required credentials as mentioned above, scroll to the top and click on the 'Save' button

The Wayground LTI tool is successfully embedded in your Toddle account!

Important Note

Only teachers rostered on Wayground as part of your Wayground Schools & District plans can use the Wayground–Toddle LTI integration. Teachers not rostered and attempting to link a Wayground resource to a Toddle course will receive a message prompting them to get rostered on their Wayground plan to access the Toddle integration.
