Integrate Wayground with Schoology via LTI as an Administrator

By integrating Wayground with Schoology via LTI, students can participate in interactive Wayground sessions directly within Schoology. Students can directly access Wayground from Schoology, which helps them focus on their schoolwork instead of navigating different platforms. Additionally, teachers can assign Wayground resources and monitor progress, all within the Schoology platform itself.

In this guide, you'll learn how to integrate the Wayground LTI App in Schoology as an Administrator. 

Please note:

• This feature is available for users with Wayground Schools & Districts Plans.
• Only teachers rostered on Wayground as part of your Wayground Schools & Districts Plans can use the Wayground–Schoology integration. Teachers not rostered and attempting to link a Wayground LTI activity in a Schoology course will receive a message prompting them to get rostered on the plan to access the Schoology integration.
• To ensure a smooth experience, we suggest installing Wayground LTI in Schoology in the root account of the district. This will allow all teachers rostered on the Wayground Premium plan to access the Wayground LTI app. Other teachers will be directed to Wayground Basic plan accounts.
  • Even if you have a multi-school subscription, you only need to generate a single integration link from Wayground. After integrating this link with Schoology at the district's root account, the integration will automatically extend to all associated schools.
• If you install Wayground LTI in separate sub-accounts or schools within the district, you must generate individual integration links from wayground.com/lti/admin/schoology/integration using different Wayground school accounts and use those links for each Schoology sub-account. You can't use the same integration link for multiple installations.

Now, follow the steps below to integrate the Wayground LTI App in Schoology.

To start the integration process: 

1. Log in to Wayground
2. Click on the 'Admin Controls' button, followed by ‘LMS Integrations’
   
   
   
   
3. Select 'Schoology' (or simply click on this link). Here, you will find the values to be entered during the integration process

Now, follow these steps to integrate Wayground LTI with Schoology in a new browser tab: 

1. Log in to your Schoology account
2. Go to Wayground (formerly Quizizz) | Schoology
3. Click on the 'Install LTI 1.3 App' button 
4. Read the terms and conditions, and click on 'I Agree'
5. Read the app authorization terms, and click on 'Continue'
   
   
   
   
6. Select 'Add to Organization'. Wayground will be added to your 'Organization Apps' 
   
   ⚠️ Important: Please install only the Wayground LTI 1.3 app from the Schoology App Center.
   Other versions (like Wayground LTI 1.1) are unsupported and will NOT function correctly.
   If a different version is installed, we recommend removing it and switching to the Wayground LTI 1.3 app. 
   
   
7. Click on 'Configure' placed next to the Wayground app
8. Enter the Custom Parameters from the Schoology LTI integration page on Wayground 
   
   
   
   
9. Click on 'Save Settings'. You have successfully configured Wayground!
10. Go back to 'Organization Apps' and click on the 'Install' button next to the Wayground app
    
    
    
    
11. Check 'All courses' 
12. Click on 'Submit'
13. Important: Finally, add a Wayground activity in a Schoology course to ensure it launches correctly
14. Note: Once an activity on Wayground is assigned using LTI within a Schoology course, only that particular course is imported into the teacher’s Wayground account. All Schoology courses are not imported automatically. 

Wayground has been successfully installed as an LTI app in Schoology! You can check the integration status by clicking on 'View integration status' on the Schoology integration page on Wayground. The 'Integration status' will show as successful only after you test the integration.

Once the integration is complete, teachers can assign Wayground resources directly to their Schoology courses.
