For Teachers
Ready to bring Wayground resources into your Moodle course? Once the Wayground LTI tool is embedded with Moodle, you can easily assign interactive Wayground resources to your students without leaving Moodle. This integration allows you to select Wayground resources, set session preferences, and track student progress — all from your Moodle course page.
To be able to assign Wayground to a Moodle course as a teacher, make sure that your administrator has completed the integration and that the Wayground LTI tool is enabled for the required Moodle course. To do the latter:
- Go to the 'My courses' page on Moodle
- Select the required course
- Once the course page opens, click on 'More' and select 'LTI External Tools' from the drop-down menu
- You should see 'Wayground' as an LTI external tool. Make sure that the 'Show in activity chooser' option is toggled on (
)
Now that the Wayground LTI tool is enabled for the required Moodle course, follow these steps to assign a Wayground resource to the course:
- Go to 'My Courses' on Moodle
- Select the required course
- Once the course page opens, go to or stay on the 'Course' section
- Toggle on (
) the 'Edit mode' setting from the top right corner of your screen
- Click on the '+ Add an activity or resource' button
- Click on the Wayground LTI tool
- Click on the 'Select Content' button
- Now, you will be prompted to sign in to your Wayground account
- Once you're signed in, select the Wayground resource you want to assign to your students from the 'My Library' section or explore millions of activities from across Wayground from the 'Search' section
- You can preview the selected resource or directly assign or start it
- Select ‘Assign’ to assign it as homework, or click on ‘Start’ to start it live
- Set session preferences like a deadline, number of participant attempts, start and end times, Accommodation Profiles, etc.
- Once you assign the activity, you will be redirected to your Moodle course page, and the Wayground LTI activity link will be included
- Scroll down and click on 'Save and display' or 'Save and return to course'
You have successfully assigned a Wayground resource to a Moodle course via LTI! Your students can now participate in the Wayground session directly from their Moodle course page.
You can click on the resource link on your Moodle course page to view the activity's reports and insights.
Note: This feature is currently only accessible using the Google Chrome browser. Support for other browsers is not available at the moment.
