For Administrators
With Wayground integrated into Moodle through LTI, students can engage with Wayground resources directly within Moodle, reducing distractions from switching platforms. Teachers can easily assign resources and track progress — all without leaving the Moodle platform.
This article will demonstrate how you can set up this integration as an Administrator. Two major steps need to be completed during the setup:
Note:
- This feature is available for users with Wayground Schools & Districts Plans.
-
If you’ve previously set up the integration:
- Installations done earlier may still show 'Quizizz LTI' as the tool name in Moodle. Make sure you delete the existing Quizizz LTI app from Moodle and install the 'Wayground LTI' app. This will update the tool name to 'Wayground LTI' and ensure a consistent experience.
Step 1: Getting the integration links from Wayground
- Log in to Wayground
- Click on the 'Admin Controls' button located in the top left of your screen, then select 'LMS Integrations'
- Click on ‘Moodle’
- Go to your Moodle account in a new browser window and copy the entire URL (exclude anything after .com)
- Go back to Wayground, and paste the copied URL in the 'Enter your Moodle URL' field (exclude anything after ‘.com’)
- Click on 'Generate integration'. This will generate the following links and details:
- Public Keyset
- Initiate Login URL
- Redirection URI(s)

- Go to the 'My courses' page on Moodle
- Select the required course
- Once the course page opens, click on 'More' and select 'LTI External Tools' from the drop-down menu

Important
- Only teachers rostered on Wayground as part of your Wayground Schools & District plans can use the Wayground–Moodle LTI integration. Teachers not rostered and attempting to link a Wayground resource to a Moodle course will receive a message prompting them to get rostered on their Wayground plan to access the Moodle integration.
