For Administrators
As an Administrator, you can sync teachers and staff rosters into your organisation's Wayground account via ClassLink. This allows Wayground to automatically and regularly synchronize these rosters, saving time, reducing errors, and enhancing security. This article will outline the steps for integrating with the Wayground Rostering App on your ClassLink Portal and explain how to initiate ClassLink rostering on Wayground to complete the process.
Step 1: Integrate with the Wayground Rostering App on ClassLink
Note: Your School District needs to have both integrations: the Wayground-ClassLink SSO and the Wayground Rostering app on ClassLink.
To set up the Wayground-ClassLink SSO, follow the instructions in this article.
Follow the steps below for setting up the Wayground Rostering app on ClassLink:
- Log in to your ClassLink Launchpad
- Click on the three-line icon (
) from the top left corner and click on 'Roster Server'
- This will open your ClassLink Roster Server Console
- This will open your ClassLink Roster Server Console
- Click on 'Apps' from the top bar, and then click on the '+ Add' button from the right side of your screen
- On the search bar, type 'Wayground Rostering'
- Click on the '+ Add' button
- Select the relevant permission type
- School Districts on the Wayground District plan are recommended to select 'Full Permissions'
- Others can select 'Rule-Based Permissions' and share only with the relevant users
- Go back to your Apps dashboard and click on the toggle next to Wayground Rostering to Enable the integration
- You can also check the data sharing with Wayground by clicking on the Sanity Check button (
) on the right side
- You can then proceed to initiate rostering on Wayground
Step 2: Initiate ClassLink rostering on Wayground
After you finish Step 1, contact your Customer Success Manager to start the rostering process on Wayground.
- The rostering will begin once your Customer Success Manager has configured your organization's ClassLink for your Wayground account
- The time it takes to complete the rostering process may vary, depending on the size of your school district, but it could take up to a couple of hours
You can keep track of the rostering status from the Roster Members page.
Once rostering is complete, you will be notified by email. Then, you can view your rostered teachers and staff on the Manage Members page on Wayground.
