This article goes over Google Workspace for Education policy changes that may impact your students' ability to access Wayground via school-administered Google credentials after October 23, 2023. To avoid interruptions, a Google Workspace for Education administrator needs to mark Wayground as trusted.
Who is impacted?
If your school or district has school-administered Google accounts for students under 18, and your students use these accounts to log into Wayground, you will be impacted. This is applicable regardless of the Wayground plan your school or district may have subscribed to.
Note: These changes do not impact you if your school or district does not use school-administered Google credentials for student logins, or if your students are over the age of 18.
Is anything changing with Wayground?
Wayground is not changing any of our policies. Students can always join an Assessment/Quiz or Lesson through an internet browser without signing in using their school-administered Google credentials (for example, with a join code).

Are my students going to lose access to Wayground because of Google's change?
You and your students are not losing access to Wayground. If you are a teacher and you or your students cannot log into Wayground with your school-administered Google credentials, you can use other sign-in methods.
