Wayground AI: Generate Assessments from Prompts, Documents, YouTube, & More

Wayground AI is a question generator that creates and enhances your Assessments. By eliminating the need for repetitive work, Wayground AI allows you to focus on what truly matters: supporting every one of your students. 

With this tool, you can create assessments in minutes from various content sources!

Simply upload a file, enter a prompt, or paste a link to a webpage, and Wayground AI will quickly generate questions from this content and create an Assessment/Quiz for you. You can then customize and add enhancements to the Assessment/Quiz as desired. 

How it works

There are six ways in which you can allow Wayground AI to generate an Assessment/Quiz from a variety of content:

1. From a document: Generate questions from study materials (presentations/documents) and PDF/PPTX/DOC/DOCX/PNG/JPG files, and Wayground AI will generate questions from the content
2. From a prompt: Enter a prompt or paste the content text to generate questions using Wayground AI
3. From a website: Paste the link to a webpage, and Wayground AI will automatically process its contents to create an Assessment
4. From a curriculum: If you are a science or math teacher in the USA, you can create curriculum-aligned Assessments in minutes by simply selecting your desired math or science curriculum
5. From a YouTube video: Search for a YouTube video or paste its URL to generate questions related to the video
6. Upload an image: Use the Wayground smartphone app to click and upload pictures of any content, and it will generate questions for your Assessment/Quiz

Once the Assessment/Quiz is created, you can edit it completely. You can modify the questions, change the question types, add or delete answer options, add images, videos, audio clips, etc.

1. Here are the steps to generate questions from a document, presentation, etc.

   1. Click on 'Create'
   2. Select 'Assessment' or 'Quiz'
   3. Select 'Generate with AI'
   4. Select 'Document'
   5. Click on 'Upload from Device' or 'Import from Drive' to select and upload the PDF/ PPT/PPTX/DOC/DOCX/JPG/PNG file. You can also drag and drop the file into the window
   6. Once the document uploads, set your desired number of questions, subject, grade, and language preferences
      
      • If you want your Assessment/Quiz to be a Passage or Comprehension question (students can refer to the content while attempting questions), enable the 'Allow students to read this document while answering' option
   7. Click on 'Generate Quiz'
   8. Once the questions are generated, you can modify them, change the question types, add or delete answer options, add images, videos, audio clips, etc.
      
      
      
      
   9. Once you are happy with the quiz, hit the 'Publish' button in the top right corner to save your new Assessment/Quiz and host it with your students or assign it as homework
      
      
2. 1. Click on 'Create'
   2. Select 'Assessment' or 'Quiz'
   3. Select 'Generate with AI'
   4. Select 'Text/Prompt'
   5. In the text box, enter a prompt or paste any content to generate questions
   6. Modify preferences by setting the required output language, number of questions, grade, subject, standards, and depth of knowledge
   7. Click on 'Continue'
   8. Enter or select a subtopic
   9. Click on 'Generate quiz'
      
      
      
      
   10. Once the questions are generated, you can:
       1. Use the text field at the bottom to chat with the AI and enter any modification points to the generated questions. After you're happy with the regenerated results, click on 'Use this quiz'. You can then continue to make further modifications to the questions yourself
       2. Click on the 'Use this quiz' button to directly modify questions yourself, change the question types, add or delete answer options, add images, videos, audio clips, etc. 
          
          
          
          
   11. Once you are happy with the quiz, hit the 'Publish' button in the top right corner to save your new Assessment/Quiz and start a live session with your students or assign it as homework
       
       
       
3. 1. Click on 'Create'
   2. Select 'Assessment' or 'Quiz'
   3. Select 'Generate with AI'
   4. Select 'Website'
   5. In the text box, paste the URL of the webpage from which you want to generate questions. Note that:
      • The URL must link to a webpage and not an image
      • The webpage must be publicly accessible
      • The webpage must not exist behind a login
   6. Set preferences by number of questions, grade, subject, and language
   7. Click on 'Generate quiz'
      
      
      
      
   8. Once the questions are generated, you can modify them, change the question types, add or delete answer options, add images, videos, audio clips, etc. 
   9. Finally, click on the 'Publish' button in the top right corner to save your new Assessment/Quiz and host it with your students or assign it as homework

4. You can also use a YouTube video to generate questions and create an engaging Assessment/Quiz. Follow these steps.

   1. Click on 'Create'
   2. Select 'Assessment' or 'Quiz'
   3. Select 'Generate with AI'
   4. Select 'YouTube'
   5. In the text box, paste the link to the YouTube video. Alternatively, click on the 'Browse YouTube' button to
      
      
      
      
   6. Make sure that the video is publicly accessible and is not behind a login
   7. Set preferences by number of questions, grade, subject, and language 
   8. Trim the video to the desired duration
   9. If you want students to answer questions as they watch the video, toggle on the 'Make this an interactive video quiz' option to turn this into an Interactive Video. If not, toggle it off to create an Assessment/Quiz based on the content of the video
   10. Click on 'Generate quiz'
       
   11. Once the questions are generated, you can modify them, change the question types, add or delete answer options, add images, videos, audio clips, etc.
       
       
       
       
   12. After editing your questions and quiz, hit the 'Publish' button in the top right corner to save your new resource. You can now use this to start a live session with your students or assign it to them as a homework (asynchronous) session 
       
       
       

5. If you are a science or math teacher in the USA, you can create curriculum-aligned Assessments in minutes by simply selecting your desired math or science curriculum. Follow these steps:

   1. Click on 'Create'
   2. Select 'Assessment' or 'Quiz'
   3. Select 'Generate with AI'
   4. Select 'Curriculum'
   5. Click on the 'Math' or 'Science' tab to view the list of available curricula for these subjects
      
      
      
      
   6. Select the desired curriculum
   7. Select all the topics you wish the generated Assessment to cover, and click 'Done'.
   8. Modify preferences by setting the required output language and number of questions
   9. Click on 'Generate quiz'
   10. Once the questions are generated, you can:
       1. Use the text field at the bottom to chat with the AI and enter any modification points to the generated questions. After you're happy with the regenerated results, click on 'Use this quiz'. You can then continue to make further modifications to the questions yourself

6. You can take pictures of a physical document via the Wayground smartphone app, and Wayground AI will analyze the content and quickly generate questions for you. Follow these steps:

   1. Open the Wayground app on your smartphone and go to your 'Explore' page
   2. Select the 'Click a picture of worksheet' option
   3. Click and upload images of the content
      1. To add more pictures, click on the 'Add more' button
      2. To take another picture and replace the one you have already taken, click on the 'Retake' button
   4. Click on 'Done' 
      
      
      
      
   5. Click on 'Create Quiz'
   6. Once Wayground AI generates the questions, edit them as you please, and click on 'Save Quiz' from the top right corner

    

Note:

• For file uploads,
  • only one file can be uploaded at a time
  • the supported file formats are PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, JPG, and PNG files that contain fewer tables and images are ideal, as these elements may not be processed as successfully as plain text
  • the first 16,000 characters of the file will be processed while generating questions 
• For text,
  • you can type/paste up to 10,000 characters in the text box
• Wayground AI is still learning and evolving. In some cases, it may generate inaccurate results. Please ensure you review the content generated before publishing it
